Meet our District Staff
LaWanda Burgoyne - Supervisor of Student Services
Mrs. Burgoyne has been a Senator for over 10 years, serving as an English teacher, a literacy coach, and a school improvement specialist. She is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a BS in English Education and Walden University with an MS in Adolescent Literacy & Technology. Mrs. Burgoyne is dedicated to supporting the positive social, emotional, behavioral, and academic learning of all students.
Kristen Giordano - Office Secretary
Kristen has an Associate’s of Applied Science in Business Management. With a banking and insurance background, Kristen started working in education in 2012 for Woodbridge School District, first as a substitute teacher then as a secretary. She also worked as a secretary at Delmar School District and Indian River School District. Capital is fortunate to have Mrs. Giordano as Student Services Secretary.

Shameka Johnson - Truancy & Homeless Education Liaison
Mrs. Johnson holds certifications in education, social work and counseling. She provides services to students and their families that are experiencing homelessness or have barriers which interfere with regular school attendance.
(Grades K-6)
Rod Fesel - Truancy & Homeless Education Liaison
Mr. Fesel has a background as an educator and school counselor who works to ensure that students experiencing homelessness remain educationally stable and that barriers to regular school attendance are removed.
Keisha Baynard - Homeless Education Liaison (K-12)
Mrs. Baynard - Provides direct support and services to students and their families that are experiencing homelessness.
