Welcome.  The Student Services Department works to facilitate the collaboration between schools, students, families, and community partners to help ensure the educational, social and behavioral success of our students.  

Meet our District Staff

Tonya Guinn - Supervisor
Mrs. Guinn has a background in social work, having work experience in the areas family and youth counseling, substance abuse treatment and school social work.

Carol Ward - Office Secretary
Mrs. Ward has been employed with the Capital School District for 12 years.  She is an experienced office manager and also serves as the District contact for School Choice.

(Grades 7-12)
Shameka Johnson  - Truancy & Homeless Education Liaison

Mrs. Johnson holds certifications in education, social work and counseling.  She provides services to students and their families that are experiencing homelessness or have barriers which interfere  with regular school attendance.  

(Grades K-6)
Rod Fesel - Truancy & Homeless Education Liaison

Mr. Fesel has a background as an  educator and school counselor who works to ensure that students experiencing homelessness remain educationally stable and that barriers to regular school attendance are removed.

Keisha Baynard - Homeless Education Liaison (K-12)
Mrs. Baynard - Provides direct support and services to students and their families that are experiencing homelessness.
