The Capital School District provides a safe and enriching atmosphere for our students to learn. We are hosting Summer Programs at eight locations: Fairview Elementary School, East Dover Elementary School, South Dover Elementary School, William Henry Middle, Central Middle School, Kent County Secondary Intensive Learning Center, Kent County Community School, and Dover High School. Our programs provide additional time for students, beyond the traditional school year, to help sustain and develop their academic and social skills. Students are exposed to supplemental reading, mathematics, and additional subject instruction. We would like to extend a special thank you to our Senator Nation parents, teachers, staff, principals, and administrators who will be working together to make our summer programs successful.
Program Descriptions:
- Summer Boost - Summer remediation opportunities for students
- Extended School Year (ESY) - IEP related instruction or related services to help maintain progress made toward goals
- 21st Century - Programming to provide students with academic support, enrichment, and build school engagement
- KCCS 12-Month Programming - IEP goal related programming for our KCCS students
- Freedom Schools - Partnership with United Way of DE (via Children’s Defense Fund) to provide enrichment through research-based and multicultural programming for 25 CSD and 25 CR elementary students and families

- Summer Boost - July 5 through August 4, Mon-Thurs, 8am-12pm
- Extended School Year (ESY) - to run concurrently with Summer Boost
- 21st Century - July 5 through August 4, Mon-Thurs
- KCCS Programming - June 29 through August 4, Mon-Thurs, 7:30am-2:30pm
- Freedom Schools - June 27 through August 4, 8am to 3pm Monday through Thursday
