Dear Capital School District Families and Community Members,
We are excited to announce our Summer Nutrition Program! The Capital School District Child Nutrition team is pleased to continue serving our community throughout the summer, ensuring that healthy meals are available to all children when school is out.
Every child 18 years and younger is eligible to receive FREE meals at our convenient locations throughout Dover. No registration, paperwork, or income verification is required. Please simply show up and enjoy a healthy meal!
Mobile Food Truck Service
Dates: June 30th – August 7th, 2025
Days: Monday through Thursday
Service: Lunch only
We're bringing nutritious meals directly to neighborhoods with our food trucks! Look for us at these community locations:
Food Truck Route #1:
- Simon Circle: 11:00 AM – 11:20 AM
- Whatcoat Village: 11:25 AM – 11:45 AM
- Liberty Court: 11:50 AM – 12:10 PM
- Kentwood Estates: 12:20 PM – 12:40 PM
Food Truck Route #2:
- Capital Green: 10:40 AM – 11:00 AM
- Manchester Square: 11:10 AM – 11:30 AM
- Murphy School (Kent Avenue): 11:35 AM – 11:55 AM
School-Based Meal Sites

Days: Monday through Thursday
Our school kitchens will be serving both breakfast and lunch at these familiar locations:
Booker T Washington Elementary
- Breakfast: 8:15 AM – 9:15 AM
- Lunch: 11:00 AM – 12:45 PM
Dover High School
- Breakfast: 8:00 AM – 8:30 AM
- Lunch: 11:15 AM – 12:30 PM
Dover Middle School
- Breakfast: 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM
- Lunch: 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Kent County Secondary Intensive Learning Center
- Breakfast: 8:00 AM – 8:30 AM
- Lunch: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Why This Matters
Our Summer Nutrition Program bridges this gap, providing well-balanced meals that students enjoy during the school year. We believe that good nutrition shouldn't take a vacation, and neither should we! Whether your child is participating in summer activities near one of our school sites or playing in the neighborhood when our food truck arrives, we're here to serve them with a smile.
