Capital School District Announces Marie Robinson as New Principal of
Towne Point Elementary School

The Capital School District is proud to announce the appointment of Marie Robinson as the new Principal of Towne Point Elementary School, effective for the upcoming school year. Mrs. Robinson brings over 18 years of distinguished service within the Capital School District, along with a proven track record of educational innovation and student advocacy.

"We are excited to welcome Mrs. Robinson to the Towne Point family," said Dr. Victoir T. Cahoon, Superintendent of Capital School District. “With her deep commitment to student success and extensive leadership experience, she is perfectly positioned to sustain Towne Point’s tradition of excellence and chart a course toward an even brighter future.”

Towne Point Elementary School, nestled in the heart of its community, has long been recognized for its academic excellence and profound connection with the families it serves. As the only school within its neighborhood, Towne Point has demonstrated an unparalleled ability to engage deeply with the community, with staff showing a genuine commitment to their students' overall well-being that extends far beyond the classroom walls.

The school's motto, "Love together, learn together, lead together," perfectly aligns with Mrs. Robinson's collaborative leadership philosophy. As a recognized Lighthouse Leader in Me school, Towne Point encourages students to adopt leadership roles early on, fostering the same qualities that have defined Mrs. Robinson's career in both education and military service.

Currently serving as Assistant Principal at the Dover Middle School Campus, Mrs. Robinson has spearheaded transformative initiatives that exemplify her commitment to educational excellence. Her notable achievements include creating a comprehensive master schedule that connects two middle schools while ensuring all students receive equitable academic and enrichment opportunities, implementing restorative behavior practices, and securing grants that expand student opportunities and enhance school programming.

With a strong foundation in literacy as a former District Literacy Specialist, Mrs. Robinson has championed inclusive, evidence-based practices to support diverse learners and improve student achievement. Her leadership approach, grounded in collaboration, was further strengthened through her 20-year service in the Delaware Air National Guard, where she retired as a Command and Control Superintendent.

Mrs. Robinson holds two master's degrees in education and maintains certifications in school administration, gifted education, English as a Second Language (ESL), and Special Education. This comprehensive expertise positions her well to serve Towne Point's diverse student population.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Mrs. Robinson is a devoted wife to fellow school administrator Ryan Robinson and the proud mother of four children: Ryan, Jalen, Charli, and Sebastian. Her family serves as both her motivation and greatest joy, inspiring her unwavering commitment to education and her understanding of the vital partnership between schools and families.

Mrs. Robinson's appointment reflects the Capital School District's commitment to placing experienced, innovative leaders in positions where they can make the greatest impact on student achievement and community engagement.
