Dietary Restrictions

Advancing Educational Excellence
Through Innovation

The Child Nutrition Department strives to provide meals for students with special dietary needs. We will make menu modifications and substitutions when appropriate and proper documentation has been provided. To assist parents and medical professionals, our menu nutrient information is available online

Food Allergies

If your student has a food allergy, please have the Diet Modification form below completed and signed by a doctor. Please return the completed form to your school Nurse or the district Registered Dietitian. Once the signed form has been received, our Dietitian will develop a special allergy-safe menu for your student. Please return this form as soon as possible so that we may provide safe meals for your student. If there are any updates or changes to the diet, please submit a new Diet Modification form.

Please note that if an allergy needs to be removed from a student’s medical record, then a doctor’s note is required. Allergies will remain on a student’s record until removed by a doctor’s signature. Student safety is our utmost priority.

Religious and Cultural Diet Requests

The Child Nutrition department will do our best to accommodate students with religious or cultural dietary restrictions (e.g., vegetarian, pork-free, etc.). Such requests do not require a doctor’s signature; however, we ask that parents complete and sign the top portion of the Diet Modification form so that we may make accommodations.
