Reinforcing Schools are Safe Places01/08/2021
Across the Senator Nation we continue to reinforce to our students that our schools are safe places and that we care for them academically, socially and emotionally. Through our actions students and their families know that we are here for them and are committed to creating experiences that support the whole child throughout the entire district. Along with providing healthy schools in response to the pandemic; anger, hate or bullying is not tolerated in our schools or allowed to interrupt our learning environments. In the Capital School District, we are truly committed to unity in our community. Please know that there are caring adults available in your child’s school, if she or he needs help processing challenges we may face as a community during these unprecedented times. We have attached two resources below to support family conversations during difficult times. Please contact your child’s principal if you would like someone to reach out directly to you or your child. Our student support teams within each school are in place to help students who may need support as they navigate their learning during this uncertain time. Your partnership with us is so important as we work together for our children. While we cannot control world events, we can assure you that we will always be there for our students, that we are listening to them, and that we will continue to provide unconditional support to help meet the needs of the whole child. Sincerely, The Capital School District Team
