Update for 3/15/2020
Posted on 03/15/2020
We appreciate how our community has galvanized around each other and the flexibility everyone has shown as the situation continues to evolve around our response to the coronavirus pandemic. At the time of this message there have been no confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Kent County; however, we anticipate this may change and are putting plans in place to ensure our community remains safe, and informed.

Meal delivery will begin to our communities on Wednesday, March 18th. Lunch and Breakfast for the following morning will be delivered in the middle of the day

We plan to work towards providing hot meals and meal choices as we move forward in the future. Food will be delivered to our communities using a combination of our school buses and the Senator food trucks. In addition to preparation for food distribution, we are also working on plans for families to pick up student medication. Look for a comprehensive schedule posted to our website, social media and e-mailed home if we have your email on Monday.

As our community continues to adjust to the changes to daily living that the State of Emergency has caused and schools being closed beginning Monday March 16, please remember that following standard precautions like washing your hands is essential. Please also continue to practice social distancing by not congregating in groups and isolating anyone who may be showing flu or cold symptoms. If we work together as a community, we can slow the curve of infection and get beyond this.

Thank you so much, please stay safe.
