Capital School District proudly serves Pre-K–12 students in Dover, Delaware. In partnership with students, families, and the community, we create a culture of high expectations and excellence so every student is prepared to thrive as a lifelong learner and global citizen.

Our work is guided by a Strategic Plan focused on three priorities: building a linear, streamlined district with clear systems and strong communication; meeting the needs of the whole child through academic growth and wellness supports; and strengthening Senator Pride through integrity, respect, and shared responsibility.

We want every student to reflect the Portrait of a Senator: learners who are respectful, honest, engaged, compassionate, accountable, responsible, and determined. We pursue this through strong teaching and learning, personalized support, and safe, supportive environments where students feel they belong.

Capital is proud of its heritage in Dover, and we are grateful for the community partners and local businesses who support our schools. Together, we help students explore opportunities, build real-world skills, and prepare for life beyond graduation.
