Free ESL Evening Class for Parents of ELLs

Capital School District, in partnership with POLYTECH Adult Education, will continue our Capital Adult ESL/Family Literacy Program for adults and their children in the fall of 2015.

Either Beginning or Intermediate ESL curriculum will be used, based on pre-test results.

Parents will gain the skills they need to become full partners in the education of their young children, ages birth through seven, and assist those children in reaching their full potential as learners.

Children enrolled will concentrate on phonemic awareness, alphabetic and print awareness, vocabulary development, language skills and book knowledge, the building blocks for phonics, comprehension and reading fluency.

Interactive literacy activities between parents and their children will be an integral component of this program.

Please contact your child's ESL teacher for more information; you can also download registration forms HERE.
