Blackboard Connect allows Capital School District to provide immediate and efficient notification to staff, students, and parents. It is designed to contact up to 6,000 calls per minute and alerts staff, parents and guardians of students to emergency situations including inclement weather and school wide emergencies. The system will also be used to notify parents and guardians of report card distribution and other major schoolwide events.

Blackboard Connect has the ability to reach thousands of parents per minute, to send
notification even when the school phone lines are down, rapidly deliver information for emergency and non-emergency and to quell rumors before they get out of hand.

A record of the received calls, messages left, and non-working numbers can be reported after each round of calls. It is imperative that current phone numbers are reported to your child's school to get your Blackboard Connect Call call.
